In mid-to-late Summer in Suisun Valley, the zinnias start putting on a spectacular show. Around mid-August, zinnias bloom in beautiful colors of pink, white, purple, and yellow. Zinnias are hardy flowers that can withstand high temperatures in the summertime, and they are drought-tolerant once established. You can find zinnias in a few different places in the valley, and even cut your own beautiful bouquet!

At first glance, zinnias appear similar to daisies, but upon closer inspection, they have their own distinct appearance. They grow very quickly, making them an easy flower to plant in your home garden. They typically grow about a foot tall and they come in a variety of colors. If you're wondering where to find these easy-growing flowers in Suisun Valley, you can find a few different varieties at Larry's Produce, 108 Petals, and Caymus-Suisun.
Caymus-Suisun planted a striking display of purple and pink flowers to line their southern-facing garden beds. The zinnias make a stunning photo backdrop, so make sure to check them out next time you visit the tasting room in the Summer.

108 Petals, a boutique flower farm in Suisun Valley, has a variety of zinnias that are arranged and sold in bouquets at local markets and farm sales. Chelsea, the owner of 108 Petals, grows a variety of flowers on her beautiful property on Morrison Lane and at her farm on Suisun Valley Road. In the Summer, Chelsea's zinnias make for lovely flower bouquets.

Larry's Produce plants rows of zinnias each year in their U-Pick section. Their selection of zinnias includes a variety of colors in fuchsia, orange, white, yellow and even green. You can pick your own bouquet in your choice of colors for only $2.50! Just bring your own garden shears and flower vase.

Enjoy zinnia season in Suisun Valley!
Cheers!
